Farm on West Side of State Construction Starts November 7th

Energy says construction will start November 7th on a
Wind-energy project with 56 huge turbines east of Lake
Michigan. The Ludington Daily News says the utility
disclosed the date in a notice that was mailed
Friday. The project is called The Lake Winds Energy
Park, Located in two townships in Mason County, 90 miles
north of Grand Rapids. The first phase of
construction will be excavation for access roads and
turbine foundations. The Mason County Road
Commission still must approve a road plan. Action
expected Tuesday.
